I originally was a computer programmer and was an early adopter of Ruby on Rails. Later I decided to study psychology at the Uni Basel. I am particularly interested in evolutionary psychology and evolutionary theory in general. I attended several lectures in evolutionary biology and played around with genetic algorithms. When I read the Selfish Gene, I became very intereted in altruism and human cooperation. I discovered behavioral economics through the work of Ernst Fehr. At the same time I started to realize the importance of Kahneman's work on human irrationality and cognitive biases.
